Variance Recordings
Variance Recordings is run from London by two men who know the industry like the back of their respective hands; Nikk Sharp runs a leading booking agency ‘GreenRoomArtists’ and Dave James is in charge of dance music at Leicester’s BPM record store. Set up in the 2nd half of 2007, the label quickly busrt onto the scene with their first two singles from Martin Brodin and Sam Ball. These included remixes by Tom Pooks, Adultnapper, An2 and Perc and received several BBC Radio 1 plays, including from Pete Tong. Variance deliver proper club music, driving, often dark and sitting somewhere between tech house, deep house, minimal and progressive.
