Launched in March 2005, in a very short space of time Lost My Dog Records has established itself as one of the freshest underground labels in the UK. Focussed on delivering quality house music the label was born in Loughborough, UK, in the heart of the Midlands thriving house scene. More recently LMD HQ has relocated to Middlesbrough.
Accolades have rained in with all manner of leading worldwide DJs including Groove Armada, Nic Fanciulli and Derrick Carter supporting Lost My Dog releases and compilation requests from all corners of the globe. The magazines have also printed glowing reviews; Lost My Dog releases have attained “Sureplayer” status in DJ Mag twice and “Recommended” status in iDJ three times. The label has twice been featured in iDJ cover features looking at the “100 Reasons Why Dance Music Still Rules” and in a North East feature about “Underground Britain”.
The focus of Lost My Dog is firmly on the dancefloor; the sound ranging from lush deep house grooves to a more jacking Chicago inspired sound. The artist roster contains leading figures in the underground house scene such as Jay Tripwire, Tony Thomas, Phil Weeks, Demarkus Lewis, Da Sunlounge and Greenskeepers alongside up and coming producers including Rhythm Plate, Pete Dafeet, Tommy Largo and Adam B & Tom Golden.
