LMD012. Londoner Harold Heath brings a 3 tracker for Lost My Dog. Driving/acidic deep/tech house combine with infectious vocal snippets to create 3 monsters that are blowing the roof clean off all the clubs it's dropped in, not to mention damaging a few bassbins. Fedde Le Grand has picked up the Rocking Mix of Streets Keep Rocking for his Ministry of Sound Sessions CD.
A1: Intimate Tightening
B1: Streets Keep Rocking (Harold's Rocking Mix)
B2: Streets Keep Rocking (Harold's Rocking ReRub)
From LMD press release:
Harold Heath's super-charged brand of house music has been winning accolades and gripping music lovers for years, with support from the underground and overground in equal measure. Harold's discography is an impressive read, including releases on Bushwacka's Oblong, tracks on UK labels Urbantorque, Sensei, Freaked, Boxa and Uhuru Beats, as well as records on overseas outfits Groove Pleasure, Terraform, Stickman and Detour. He's remixed Asad Rizvi's classic “Slippery Heights” as well as tracks for Household, Soco Audio and Urbantorque, and has had his tracks remixed by Paul Woolford, Tony Thomas, Asad Rizvi, Grant Dell and numerous other leading lights.
Starting his career in music as a rare groove DJ, Harold travelled a musical route familiar to many of his peers – from Electro, Hip Hop, Rare Groove through to Acid House and beyond. Harold earned his DJ stripes behind the decks at his infamous Blowyourown parties, a year long residency at the now-departed Eauzone in London and guest appearances at Brighton's seminal Optical parties, all mixed in with slots across the width and breadth of the UK. Next up in his music voyage is a debut artist album; “Hole Funk” on Urbantorque, due to be released in November.
After his remix outing on Lost My Dog’s tenth release, Harold follows up with an original EP, fully in synch with his trademark sound. “Intimate Tightening” is a driving tech house rocker; the devastating deep rumbling bassline is set to bother bassbins wherever it’s dropped. Complimenting the bass are skippy London tech house style beats, acid squelches and spacey pads. 2 mixes of “Street’s Keep Rocking” follow; first up is Harold’s Rocking Remix - trademark beats accompanied by slap bass and an acid lead line you can’t help but move to. The infectious vocal burrows deep, building the track to a climax before hitting a tripped out, luscious breakdown. Harold’s Rocking ReRub slightly drops the tempo, but loses none of the energy. The bassline and re-tweaked acid form a darker feel, and the track bumps along whilst twisting its way deep inside the listener’s head.
This EP was made for dark sweaty nightclubs and quite simply rocks/jacks/pumps – whatever you want to call it!

These three tracks of techy schwing will do a treat. ‘Intimate Tightening’ sets the scene with its squidgy warmth and sci-fi shuffle. But it’s the catchy underground acid funk of the two versions of the title track that get it going with a bang, in particular when the vox sample hits on the remix.
